Supporting Freddie and Friends Charity – Our Day at the Spring Fair
At Sensory Shine, supporting the neurodivergent community is at the heart of everything we do.
On Saturday, we had the absolute pleasure of attending and supporting the Freddie and Friends Spring Fair, a local charity event full of community spirit, connection, and purpose.
Behind the Scenes at the Spring Fair
The day started with lots of energy and excitement as we helped the Freddie and Friends team set up their Spring Fair. We rolled up our sleeves to assist with selling raffle tickets, managing donation tables, and speaking with families who came to enjoy the event.
It wasn’t just about fundraising, it was about creating genuine moments of connection with the families who live the realities we care so deeply about supporting.
Throughout the day, we had heartfelt conversations with parents and carers about sensory overwhelm — a daily challenge for many neurodivergent children. We were able to share how Sensory Shine products are specifically designed to reduce sensory overload, helping children feel calm, regulated, and confident to take on daily tasks like brushing their teeth or getting ready for the day.
The interest and engagement were incredible — so many families could instantly see how small sensory adjustments can lead to huge breakthroughs in confidence, communication, and daily happiness.
A Special Encounter: Meeting the Mayor
We were also honoured to meet Councillor David Bligh, the Town Mayor of Leighton-Linslade, who kindly stopped to chat and learn about our mission.
It was such a proud moment for us to be recognised alongside a charity doing so much good for neurodivergent children and their families. Sharing our story and seeing leaders take interest in sensory needs reaffirmed why Sensory Shine exists, to nurture confidence, one sense at a time.
Why Supporting Charities Like Freddie and Friends Matters
At Sensory Shine, we believe that change happens through community.
Supporting charities like Freddie and Friends means standing beside families who often feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported in mainstream spaces. It means sharing tools, education, and solutions that help children thrive and families feel empowered.
By being present at events like the Spring Fair, we are not just promoting our products, we are promoting a movement of acceptance, understanding, and real solutions for neurodivergent children.
Thank You for Having Us!
A huge thank you to Freddie and Friends Charity for inviting us to be part of such a special day, and to Councillor David Bligh for taking the time to meet with us.
We left the fair feeling even more inspired and determined to continue building tools that make daily life easier and brighter for neurodivergent children and their families.
Stay tuned, we have even more exciting projects and behind-the-scenes news coming soon!
We’re only just getting started…
Together, we shine brighter.
